Overseas Sindhi Association Holds Its 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Birmingha
The Overseas Sindhi Association (OSA) successfully held its 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 13th September 2025 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The event marked a significant milestone in the organization’s journey toward community empowerment, unity, and progress.
A New Chapter for the Sindhi Community
The meeting brought together Sindhi professionals, students, and community leaders from across the UK, all united by a shared vision — to preserve Sindhi culture and promote educational, social, and humanitarian development within the community.
Leadership & Vision
The AGM was presided over by Dr. Nazeer Ahmed Dahar, President of OSA, who emphasized the importance of collective efforts in shaping a strong global Sindhi network. He highlighted OSA’s mission to foster educational growth, cultural awareness, and youth engagement through structured initiatives and transparent leadership.
During the session, Mahesh Deep, General Secretary, presented a detailed report on OSA’s objectives, structure, and action plan for the coming year. Other key office bearers, including Saen Bux Patojo (Vice President) and Nisar Ahmed Gilal (Head of Youth Development), shared their visions and upcoming initiatives to support Sindhi youth and families abroad.
Committees and Volunteer Roles
The AGM also announced the formation of several dedicated committees focusing on areas such as:

- Event Management
- Public Relations & Media
- Website Maintenance and Digital Outreach
Volunteers from various parts of the UK joined hands to serve under these committees, each bringing their expertise and passion to strengthen OSA’s mission.

The meeting also introduced key community-oriented projects, including:
- Career Counselling & Mentorship Program – to guide Sindhi youth in career and academic advancement.
- Habibullah Patojo Educational Academy – aimed at promoting education and scholarships for underprivileged Sindhi students.
- OSA Relief & Support Program – designed to offer timely assistance to families in need, both locally and overseas.
